Organon of Medicine is the sole guide to the practice of homeopathy. In spite of the various translations, the true essence of the book has not been delivered to the readers.
This translation brings about new and original expressions of Dr. Hahnemann's original work. The expressions, figures of speech and even the tautological style of the original book has been retained by Dr. C.Wesselhoeft during this translation. Learn More
The book was published in 1895. Bradford attempted to collect everything bearing any relation to the career of Hahnemann in this book. A narrative of Hahnemann's life pieced together from the works of Ameke and Dudgeon, and by Hahnemann's letter which had appeared in journals, newspapers, and other sources. The German, French and English literature was thoroughly examined; much of which was published for the first time in English. Learn More
The Organon has developed slowly out of Hahnemann's research and experimentation over a period of time. It underwent as many as six editions. This sixth edition incorporates the latest findings of Dr. Hahnemann during his dying years and deemed to be the most perfect of all. Many newer concepts like replacement of the vital force by vital principle, the 50th millesimal scale of potency and permissibility of external applications were introduced for the first time, which were unheard of in other editions. The work is a result of the untiring efforts of the master to improve and update his work and is of historical importance as far as medical philosophy is concerned. It is the high water mark of medical philosophy. Learn More
The present edition is a combination of the fifth edition by Dudgeon (the 1893 revision) with the sixth edition by Boericke. Essentially, one can see the changes that Hahnemann made to the text of the fifth edition. An appendix outlines all the changes made from the fifth to the sixth edition.
Of all the published editions this remains the favourite, since it clearly shows the changes in Hahnemann's thinking as some paragraphs in the fifth edition were modified and others completely rewritten. This edition offers both versions interposed. Learn More
